Two days ago I had to take my older dog to the vet because somehow she had puncture wounds on her leg that were open. When me and the kids got there we got right in and the vet told me what he needed to do and we would be on our way. He started by numbing the spot and shaving the spots he would put staples in. These few steps only took about 10 minutes. Jaron and Breanna decided they didn't want to watch what was happening to Shellie so they went to the lobby and sat on the bench(I could see them out the door so they were fine to do so). A few minutes later they came back in though and sat behind me in the chairs. Jaron started to pull on his throat weird like and I kept looking at him to see what he was doing. I was holding Shellie so she would be calm this whole time mind you. Then my son informed me that he wasn't feeling so well and got REALLY pale REALLY fast. I grabbed his wrist by instinct and then that's when his eyes rolled back in his head and he started to slowly go limp. I started calling out his name while still holding him and Shellie. The vet saw my reaction and let go of Shellie and went to Jaron and picked him up before he could hit the ground. Then his whole body went stiff. It was weird stiff. His arms were out like he was being a monster and was stiff as a board. The vet carried him the lobby benches to try to get him somewhere more comfortable or whatever and only after like a minute of being passed out he all of a sudden came to and was looking at me like " where am I and what happend" I was still calling out his name the whole time and still holding on the Shellie. Breanna then tried to run off not really knowing what was happening so I had to gran her and force her back in a chair behind me. The tech went to get Jaron some water and he took a few sips and then brought his hands to his mouth...I panicked again. He took off to the bathroom and you could hear him throwing up. By this time I knew I was done being there alone and called Jeremy and told him to come there now. When he got there Jaron was still throwing up. The vet finished up with Shellie and went on to his next patient. While we were in the lobby Shellie's leg started bleeding all over and so the tech had to come clean that up. I felt so bad that all that happened and never really got to thank the vet for helping my Shellie and my son. After all of the nerves settled I found out that Jaron was worried that Shellie was going to die and got really scared seeing the vet work on her and it hit him too fast. All is well now and all are fine and healing. :)

That is quite the story!! I am glad that everything is OK now! It was so good to see you guys! I am glad that we can stay in touch through these blogs...HOORAY!
Holy Cow!! That would have been so crazy and scary. How did you handle it? I didn't know there was a Walmart in Hurricane now. You never have to leave your town again. :)
I love our Walmart. I don't know how exactly I handled the vet experience. He said I handled it well but I think I was too out of it to say thank you or anything. That's why I called Jeremy. I would have been there all day until I could manage a bleeding dog, a kid throwing up, and one trying to be crazy. :)
WOW! That's quite an experience. That's one you won't ever forget.
Wow Lindsey! That's quite an event! I'll have to get Ryan on here to read this. Glad everyone is ok. It's scary for kids to lose someone they love. That's why I wouldn't let the girls be around when we were dealing with the death of my grandma.
